In the Spirit of Aloha we make this center and its services available to anyone who is interested in discovering who they really are and what their higher purpose is in this world. more
“David is a master in his craft. Thank you, Mahalo! for a most amazing experience.”
Simple acts of love and kindness mold us and our world into something more beautiful. The more we practice… the more powerful these acts become. We all have within us the capacity to be kind.
Sometimes our life experiences have made us forget about our inherent goodness. It is never to late to make new choices that take our life in a whole new direction.
Being kind to ourselves and others is the quickest way I know to take us from a fear based existence to a love based reality.
With Much Love And Appreciation,
Who Moved My Cheese is the title of a book written by Spencer Johnson, M.D.
I was introduced to this book recently and have found it to be profoundly helpful when dealing with any kind of change. The Cheese is what we want in life.
Change is a part of everyday life and how we deal with change will determine how well we get along in this world.
I would like to share some excerpts from this book to indice you to want to explore more by acquiring a copy of the book. It is a small book and a easy read (about one hour) should do it.
Here are some wonderful points to ponder:
Change Happens – They Keep Moving The Cheese
Anticipate Change – Get Ready For The Cheese To Move
Monitor Change – Smell The Cheese Often So You Know When It Is Getting Old
Adapt To Change Quickly – The Quicker You Let Go Of Old Cheese, The Sooner You Can Enjoy New Cheese
Change – Move With The Cheese
Enjoy Change! – Savor The Adventure And Enjoy The Taste Of New Cheese!
Be Ready To Change Quickly And Enjoy It Again & Again – They Keep Moving The Cheese
Enjoy this book and hopefully you will laugh more when change happens and find a way to make the most of the changes that come along in Life.

Aloha To Anyone Who Is Reading This,
In 2009 while I was spending some time in San Francisco, CA, with my friend Mike, these words came to me.
I will share it with you just the way I heard it in my head, as I looked out my bedroom window and watched the tree’s blowing in the wind.
Before I share it, I need to mention that one line of it, was something Ghandi shared many years ago long before any of us were around. See if you can recongnize the phrase. It wasn’t until some time later that I found out that Ghandi had used that same line in one of his talks.
Here it is:
The Winds Of Change Are Blowing!
Change We Must And Change We Will
We Must Become The Change We Want To See In This World.
Change Happens Now
We can choose to resist or fight against change but no matter how much we resist or fight… change still happens.
A spiritual or more intelligent approach to change is to make it your friend and see that positive changes are necessary, if we are to heal and become a more peaceful, loving and kind species.
You can choose to be a conscious participate in the process of change. As you do this, you will no longer be at the affect of change but will harness the power within change and become a positive force for good, in your own life and the life of others.
This is the power and possibility we carry in us, as members of the GLBTQI community. This power and possibility is not exclusive and is available to anyone who wishes to explore what is possible when we stop resisting and fighting change and allow the change to happen, so that our world becomes a better place for us all.
With Love and Appreciation,

It has been awhile since I posted anything to this site but today I am.
As members of the GLBTQI community we have a responsibility and opportunity to contribute to ourselves and each other by remembering that the greatest gift we can offer this world… is by allowing our true self to emerge.
In the evolution of our community, we have found new ways to blend and fit in so that we can go about our everyday lives with some sense of peace and harmony. There is nothing wrong with creating a lifestyle that allows us to have a direct experience of peace and harmony.
Although, we are not here just to fit in, we have a higher calling. You may be asking, what higher calling could I possibly have outside the identity I have been living with over the years? Unfortunately, anything we have come to identify with has little or nothing to do with who we really are. We are now at a point in human evolution where we are getting closer to answering the questions, who am I and why am I here?
As I have mentioned before we cannot really know who we really are until we come to discover who we are not. Our ongoing conditioning has lead us to believe all kind of things about ourselves, others and our world, most of which is not true. We must be willing to continuing ask ourself this question, Is It True? If we don’t, we will continue to play out what has been programed into us and continue to believe it is true and it is who we are.
Let me get back to our higher calling. Our first and primary purpose is to awaken our spiritual nature and stay awake long enough to become aware of our connection to people, places and things. Has we let go of any need or desire to maintain the belief we are separate and alone in the world and universe, something else emerges from within us.
All of a sudden we begin to understand how all the parts make up the whole and that each of us carry within us certain abilities, skills, talents and gifts. With this new understanding or consciousness we move beyond just personal gratification and gives us the possibility to contribute for the purpose of benefiting the good of the whole.
As members of the GLBTQI community we are in a position of stepping into more expansive roles as healers, teachers and leaders and this is what I mean by higher calling.
With an awakened awareness we are no longer in service to the egoic self but instead we merge as the God Self.
In The Spirit Of Aloha,
2012 will be a time of embracing change and with it the recognition of same sex couples right to have their relationships honored. We can be grateful for all steps no matter how large or small they appear, that allows each person to decide for himself or herself who they will share their love and life with.
Mahalo to all those who have worked to make this possible.
Hawaii will officially recognize same-sex civil unions begining in January 2012. While this is a step in the right direction “…which Gov. Neil Abercrombie called ‘equal rights for everyone … This is the essence of the aloha spirit.’But as one gay commentator put it, ‘It’s official. In Hawaii we are second-class citizens.’ Equal rights to marriage means … marriage.”
David Jay Founder of The Kauai Center… A Center for Healing
When we live each day to the fullest, we have an opportunity to have a greater appreciation for the people, places and things that are apart of our everyday life.
People always seem to be rushing here and there, having to get to that next thing, whatever that next thing is. There is something in the mind that believes that the future is going to be better than the present and at the same time believes that it may not.
Even with these conflicting beliefs the mind charges forward, dragging you along with it. This is the bases for unconscious living.
One way to break this pattern, is to become aware of it when it is operating in you. Once you become aware of it, you have an opportunity to stop identifying with those thoughts and can then begin to live more fully in the present moment.
With this awareness and understanding you can make a choice to live each day as if it were the first day of your life and your last day on earth.
If you are successful with this practice, you will look at everyone and everything differently. You will not want to miss single moment and you will find yourself loving and appreciating everyone and everything. Your heart will begin to open, as you take it all in and you feel grateful and blessed for the opportunity to have this one day!
And if you do awaken the next morning, you get to do it all over again and it just keeps getting better.
This is how you start to live each day to the fullest.
With Love and Appreciation,
Yes, it is true… she is a lesbian.
Responsibility is not some heavy burden we must bear but a real opportunity to become aware of who we are in relationship to the things that really matter in life.
Money like personal relationships need love and attention, if they are to grow and flourish. When we love and appreciate the things of this world like money… they appreciate.
It may be true that money alone will not ensure a satisfying and fulfilling life, but I can assure you that having a good relationship with money will improve your chances of having a quality life.
Men and women have an opportunity to become good stewards of the money they have, regardless of their sexual orientation.
It really doesn’t matter how much you have right now, stewardship is about learning to take good care of what you have, so when more comes, you will also take good care of it. …David Jay

The only thing that scares me more than space aliens is the idea that there are no space aliens. We cannot be the best that creation has to offer. If we are, we’re in trouble. – Ellen Degeneres

These are Rolling Thunder’s Words:
“People have to be responsible for their thoughts, so they have to learn to control them. It may not be easy, but it can be done. First of all, if we don’t want to think certain things we don’t say them. We don’t have to eat everything we see, and we don’t have to say everything we think. So we begin by watching our words and speaking with good purpose only.”
